Repertory Philippines Theatre Season 2006

Nobody’s Perfect A comedy by Simon Williams, the play gets its laughs from concealed identities and cross-gender dressing as a guy decides to dress up as a female and in the process falls in love. Opening the season, it’s currently running and will have its last performance on 05 February 2006.

I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change Focusing on the lives of two couples, it traces the whole gamut of the love scenario from first dates, marriage, infidelity to widowhood. The hit Off-Broadway musical is set to open on 17 February 2006.

7 ng Umaga Another comedy, the play is set in rural 1930s Philippines, where amusement is gained from four sisters squabbling over property and even over husbands. In English, the play will charm audiences starting 24 March 2006.

Two & Two Make Sex A romp involving a “swinging” of partners, the chuckles turn into chortles of amusement as the huge age difference begins to work into the new relationships. The summer will be even more fun with this comedy that will kick off on 21 April 2006.

Walt Disney’s Aladdin Jr. Adapted from the famous Walt Disney version of Aladdin, the children’s musical boasts of the original creative team of music by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, with book adaptation and additional lyrics by Bryan Louiseselle. Bring the kids starting 12 August 2006.

The Boor and the Proposal Written by the famous Anton Chekhov, two unlikely couples who spend most of their time arguing and fighting find that their strong passions is just a cover-up for love. Be entranced beginning 16 September 2006.

The Sound of Music The well-loved Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II musical will be brought back onstage on 11 November 2006, as it enchants audiences again with its tale of a postulant changing her mind about becoming a nun to becoming a mother to a Captain’s brood of children instead.

    I’ve seen the Aladdin show. Congratulations! It’s really beautiful especially the choreography and music. I am from La Consolacion College. To the actors and actresses- you’re really good.
