Trumpets Premiere of The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe
Trumpets recently sponsored the premiere of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe at the Power Plant Mall on 08 January 2006. The good news is all the tickets were sold, but it did leave a lot of hopeful people disappointed because they couldn’t watch the film with us. As I’ve mentioned, it’s a reunion of sorts, and it was a lot of fun to see people I haven’t seen in a while.
Audie Gemora, who played Aslan, is flanked by the 3 wonderful actresses who essayed the role of the White Witch, as well as Carlo Orosa who played the lovable Mr. Tumnus, and Roden Araneta who was the White Witch’s ever dependable dwarf.
I used to be able to look at all of these kids in the eye, since they were just a wee bit smaller than I, but they all grew up to be tall talented and attractive young men and women whom I look up to.
We, the hags, loved our White Witches, namely Lynn Sherman, Sheila Francisco and Menchu Lauchengco, so much for their evil deeds, spine tingling voices and heretic attacks on Aslan. (Ahh… I do miss the frightened screams and crying of the children in the audience whenever it was time to torture and kill Aslan at the Stone Table.)
What is the professor doing with the 3 Hags, you might ask. Well, Steve Cadd was lured to the dark side by the charms of his very own hag, Mayen Bustamante, who is now his wife. We, Jennie Nuyda and I (Lorna Lopez), wish them well and hope he changes his ways to suit our evil ways better.

Hello!
I came across an article about Trumpets which also featured Mayen Bustamante. I am a good friend of hers back in our college days at UST. I have been trying to get in touch with her to catch up with the latest happenings in our lives. Could you please pass on this message to her since I do not have any of her contact numbers anymore? Thank you so much!

Nice pics. I was part of the same cast of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe last 2002. I was Mr. Bear opposite Eli Santiago as Mrs. Bear.
