Glorietta Launches The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe

07 January 2006 proved to be exciting for Glorietta shoppers as the Activity Center was converted into the wintry Narnia, adorned with the White Witch, and a frozen Mr. Tumnus and centaur to add authenticity to the scene. But the highlight of the event was the show sponsored by Nestle Koko Krunch and Powerbooks to launch the showing of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe film from Disney and Walden Media.

Drew Arellano and Iya Villania Drew Arellano and Iya Villania- The real life couple teamed up to co-host the event.

Nixus Acrobats Nixus Acrobats- The agile performers enthralled the audience with feats of flexibility and strength.

Iya and Drew with Contestant The Guess the Statue Game- Just one of the many games sponsored by Koko Krunch, all the participants were rewarded for their efforts with bags of milk and cereals.

Koko Krunch Dances with Iya Koko Krunch- Koko Krunch himself makes an appearance to delight the kids with a dance and to give away prizes.

OB Montessori Chorale OB Montessori Chorale- An all-children chorale enchanted the audience with their lively songs and choreography.

Lucy and Mr. Tumnus Lucy and Mr. Tumnus- In the excerpts from the Trumpets’ musical, Lucy meets Mr. Tumnus in the charming number “Hello.”

The White Witch Tempts Edmund The White Witch Tempts Edmund- On the other hand, the White Witch lures Edmund to do her bidding by tempting him with his favorite sweet- Turkish Delight.

Mr. and Mrs. Beaver Mr. and Mrs. Beaver- They are gloriously happy to realize that the end of the White Witch’s reign is imminently near.

Mr. and Mrs. Beaver with Peter, Susan and Lucy Spring- Flowers bloom with the arrival of Spring after being Winter for more than a hundred years.

Aslan and Edmund Aslan and Edmund- Aslan assures Edmund that he is forgiven and he can look forward to a brand new start.

Aslan Crowns Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy The Coronation- The prophecy is fulfilled as Aslan crowns the Kings and Queens of Narnia at Cair Paravel.

Narnia Celebrates The Celebration- The whole of Narnia celebrates and cheers for the newly crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia.

    Why don’t you mention about the guy who is playing the character of Edmund?! He’s so cute!!

    Oh, sorry. Uhm… Joel Reyes, one of the incredibly talented members of Trumpets, is also one of the face painters who must be given credit for his painstaking work to give life to the numerous creatures and characters of Narnia. ;-) Lorna
