What’s Up This Week #6
A quick glance at the categories has revealed that I still haven’t introduced the newly created Beauty Befuddlements category. For the next two weeks, there will be two posts—one will be a list of beauty products that I stumbled upon in Shopwise–Bumbling Finds #1- Shopwise, which will start a series of posts about the different products that I find “accidentally,” hence the title Bumbling Finds.
Discovering products by chance happens to be my style of shopping because I rarely set out planning to buy anything. I think I am what marketers would call an impulse buyer. I think the Bumbling Finds posts will be quite useful because it is quite a convenient way to introduce things that catch my attention, and not only will it be for the Beauty Befuddlements category, but also for the other categories as well.
The second Beauty Befuddlements post will be directed at the male species regarding the Do’s and Don’ts During the Menstrual Cycle. I had to rewrite this because I thought it would be more fun to address it towards the masculine gender. Gentlemen, don’t worry, just think of it as a list of tips and first aid that include the curious and the bizarre such as, “Do keep agua oxinada handy” or “Don’t swim in shark infested waters.”
Another new series of posts will be called Chatter & Chunter, with the latter word something that I’ve picked up from the sixth Harry Potter book—Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Chunter, according to the dictionary, is a British term that means to grumble. Aside from the alliteration, I thought it was a good combination of words that connoted a conversation that had both positive and negative elements in it.
It will contain musings on different subjects, which, if taken in a singular fashion, will be too short to be discussed in a single post, so I’ve combined them; for example, the first one will mention J.K. Rowling’s pregnancy, the women drivers only parking at Shangrila Hotel, and the aggressive street urchins at two locations in Metro Manila.
And I will continue From the Mouth of Babes in the Kiddie Korner category as a series of posts focusing on real anecdotes about children, as proudly told by their parents.
And then, I was able to attend the first elimination round of the Nike Women Tribes Contest at Fitness First Manila. I’ll be editing the Nike Women Tribes Contest 2005 Schedule throughout the coming weeks as the information becomes available. I called this morning and the latest is from the Fort branch where the next Nike Tribe contest is going to be held–19 September 2005, 630 Jam, 730 Step, and 830 Combat.
The excellent side benefit of my attendance was I was able to touch base with Nike management, so that means I can update a past post in the Caught My Eye/Ire category, Nike Stadium EPS and Discount Card Policies, regarding the contact details as to whom to complain to regarding Nike outlets such as Nike Stadium and Nike Forum for Women. (This didn’t turn out the way I envisioned though–Nike and Fitness First Frustrations.)
Moreover, the crowded classes during the series of elimination rounds and cluster rounds make it urgent for me to post the article about the 7 Don’ts at the Gym Studio. It’s mainly about respecting other people’s personal space and the 7 ways it can be encroached.
This post is covering for the next two weeks. If there are any changes, I’ll edit this post to keep you updated. Thank you everybody.
