Globe Txt Nonstop Promo Warning (Ire)
Globe had a promo of unlimited text varying in the length of days, P15 for 1 day, P25 for 2 days or P50 for 5 days. It ended 26 December 2005, but, hopefully, will resume sometime this year.
WARNING: After sending the SMS TXTNONSTOP15 or 25 or 50, your balance is debited instantly once you receive the first Globe SMS- the acknowledgement receipt. However, there is a glitch in the system, so even if you do NOT receive the service, you will still be charged for it.
TXT NONSTOP 4-Step Process
I think it would be helpful to review the process how one obtains the unlimited text service.
After having chosen how many days you want the unlimited text service, you will send a SMS stating TXTNONSTOP15 or 25 or 50 to 2870, at which point your prepaid credits will be subtracted accordingly, and you will be updated regarding your request through SMS.
For example, if you requested for the P50 5-day unlimited text service, you are supposed to receive the following SMS:
Your FIRST SMS will state, “Thank you very much. We have received your request and it is currently being processed. Kindly wait for the confirmation within 24 hours.”
Then, you’ll be informed through the SECOND SMS that “You’re now registered to Globe’s TEXT NONSTOP promo of P50/5 day/s. This will be activated within 24 hours. Standard rates apply while processing. You’ll receive a message once subscription is activated. You need to maintain at least P1 balance to make unlimited texts. Promo ends September 27.”
The THIRD SMS is the most important one because it will confirm that you have received the service, “Your Globe TXT NONSTOP promo is now active. Enjoy unlimited Globe to Globe text for 5 day(s). Your free text will only be applied to other networks while subscribed to the promo.”
At the end of the service period, a FOURTH SMS will be sent to you, “Your TXT NONSTOP is now inactive.”
My Personal Experience
My first attempt to avail of the service went so smoothly that it gave me the confidence to obtain the service again. However, my second attempt for the P15 1-day promo was less successful. After the first SMS informing me that my registration was being processed, I never received the second nor the third all-important SMS. My next attempt to acquire the P50 5-day promo produced the same results.
At this point, my prepaid credits had been lessened by P65 already, albeit unknowingly, because I assumed that my credits would only be debited when I have received the third SMS that confirmed the service activation. A simple request for the balance before and after the SMS request to 2870 proved that I was totally wrong.
I went to the Globe Shangrila Mall branch yesterday, 29 August 2005, to explain my predicament to Mr. Donner Fernandez. He kindly reassured me that as soon as they have checked the system and confirmed that the details I told him were correct, my P65 will credited back to my prepaid balance.
To my relief, four hours later, I received a SMS from Globe Autoload Max that said, “65.00 worth of prepaid credits was loaded to your mobile.”
What to Do
You must make sure to get the third SMS that confirms the service activation. Although it is supposed to occur within 24 hours, if after 6 hours you still haven’t received the third SMS, I would suggest that you follow it up through the Globe hotlines.
If you’re using your cell, dial 211, otherwise, call 730.1000 on a landline.

Thanks for the info. Nice website/blog.
I haven’t received any text coming from Globe though I typed it correctly. I’ve waited so long, and I’d send a lot of that [SMS], but still, it didn’t activate.
Thanks.
