Diana Zubiri — Danaya of GMA 7 Encantadia

Among the four sisters, or rather four actresses, that include the likes of Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon and Karylle; Diana Zubiri is the quietest among them all. She usually sits demurely in some spot while she waits for her cue, seemingly oblivious to the male attention her every breath takes.

And that’s what I admire most about her. At such a young age, she has found a way to deal with her “sex symbol” status. She doesn’t flaunt her body deliberately nor is loud to call attention to herself. Rather, she knows that her sexuality is just a facet of her work or what’s expected of her, and she only turns “it” on when it’s required.

That’s why when I heard of the Tricks Legal Possession Contest wherein the 3 winners would secure a date with Diana Zubiri, I wanted to reassure the guys that despite her sexy image, they could relax because she’s not intimidating at all.

According to the FHM December 2005 issue, the three lucky men were Clarenold Carranceja of Caloocan City, Rodelio Pedilo of Quezon City, and Francis Tolentino who stood in for actual winner Donald Tumulak of Mandaue City (I suspect a jealous girlfriend here because who wouldn’t change his schedule for a once in a lifetime chance?).

Aside from a luau of getting to know each other, there was private time with Diana through a one on one afternoon date of either walking on the beach, playing pool, or just chatting, plus there was also a dinner date; and, video gems thrown in like a Nokia 3230 with Diana’s private videos, a Sony digicam with Diana’s behind the scenes (of what show/event I wonder?) photos, and an autographed memorabilia from one of her FHM shoots.

For the other guys whose names were not picked out, dream on because the folks at Tricks may repeat the same promo next year (you never know).
