Ayala Guard’s Helpful Attitude (Eye)

Lining up for the Harry Potter book in the early morning of July 16, 2005 was tiring work, so I wanted a stack of pancakes. Not knowing where Pancake House was in Greenbelt, I asked one of the Ayala guards where it was and whether it was open at 7:30am.

The Ayala guard knew where the restaurant was, but he didn’t know its operating hours. But he was intelligent enough to realize he can get the information from another guard who was near Pancake House. So that’s what he did. He used his radio to contact another member of the security staff, and was informed that Pancake House was indeed open at 7:30am.

I really appreciated the fact that he took the trouble to find out, instead of the customary short reply, blank look and ‘I don’t want to bother myself’ attitude from other malls’ security staff.
