What’s Up this Week #13

Yes, I know, some lucky Skycable subscribers are going to be watching Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire today (gnash teeth and tear hair out) because they won advance screening tickets. Of course, the film is going to open this Wednesday, a fact that I have to point out is 16 November 2005, two days ahead of the official world release of 18 November 2005 (my friend said the Philippines must be a very profitable market for them to give us a special concession like this).

I posted my Smart vs. Globe Unlimited Text experiment results yesterday because I figured most telecommunications ads come out on a Sunday, so if you were figuring out which promo to avail of, well, here are the findings.

This week, I’ll be featuring the maiden issue of surprise (as in totally surprised with dropped jaw), Tales from the Enchanted Kingdom.

For some silly discoveries regarding the MRT and the LRT, probably known to everyone except myself, there’s 25 Things I’ve Learned Riding the LRT & MRT.

And, it seems that the Robinsons malls are capturing some coups this Christmas. Aside from being able to Win Free Disney Chicken Little Advance Screening Tickets, they have a series of shows entitled A Nickelodeon Spongebob Christmas at the Robinsons Malls, which reminded me of a funny incident related to me by a friend, retold in Chuckles — I am Not a Dora.

Tanghalang Pilipino’s Auditions for Zsazsa Zaturnnah are by the end of November already, and sent me dowm memory lane with my first professional theatrical audition: Chuckles — Clowning Around at Auditions.

For this coming weekend, you might want to try the easily accessible Mannang — another Cheap Eats find recommended by my sister found right smack in Megamall Building A basement level. Mannang is the sister restaurant of the more well known Chinese restaurant Mann Hann. Mannang reminds me of the Ebun at Greenbelt 3, which also does Filipino dishes with a twist.

If there are other changes during the week, I’ll edit this post to keep you updated. Thank you everybody.
