Chatter & Chunter — Eastwood City Experiences (Part 1)
The afternoon of 08 October 2005 spent at Eastwood City Walk 2 and its adjacent tiangge area proved to be a veritable wealth of experiences that ran the gamut of utmost efficiency to blatant kabastusan or rudeness.
The walk from the parking lot to the Fitness First branch was suddenly punctuated by loud heckling from the nearby construction site that dominates the center of the circular driveway and will probably take years to finish. Unfortunately, it’s unmistakably meant for me for there was no other nearby female.
My usual SOP with such behavior is to ignore it because I do not want to give any recognition at all to such rude cretins. However, I will try to find their superior to inform him of the situation, and, hopefully, to correct it.
After the workout, I was in dire need of replenishment, and I was in the mood for Chinese so off to Super Bowl I went. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff—so unlike our previous experience about 2 years ago when their inattentive and rude staff made us swear off their establishment despite the reasonably priced food.
After paying and being given the inexact change, the Super Bowl staff’s courtesy extended to an apology and provision of P0.11 (after some gentle prodding on my part because the waitress didn’t know what to say or do) once I pointed out their omission.
